After a 14-4-2 overall record and a first-round appearance in the 3C2A Women's Soccer Regional last fall, four standout players from Citrus College Women's Soccer are moving on to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions.

Megan Sewell has committed to the University of La Verne, Emily Cherry will head to Southwest Minnesota State University, and both Arianna Salcido and Stevie Spencer will remain teammates at Life Pacific University.

Sewell, a versatile center back/center midfielder from Bonita High School, will stay close to home as she joins the La Verne Leopards this fall. A two-year starter for the Owls, she appeared in all 40 games across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, contributing three goals and anchoring the defense. Sewell's strong performance earned her a spot on the 2024 Southern California All-Region Team, All-WSC South First Team in 2024, and All-WSC South Second Team in 2023.

Cherry, a dynamic center midfielder from Rancho Cucamonga (Los Osos HS and Alta Loma HS), also started every game over the past two seasons—totaling 20 appearances each year. She scored five goals, tallied 14 assists, and recorded 56 shots with a 50% shots-on-goal rate. Her outstanding 2024 campaign earned her WSC South First Team honors, following a Second Team selection in 2023.

Spencer, another Bonita High School alum, served as a key defensive presence for the Owls. The center back played in 39 games over two seasons, recorded four assists, and helped lead a defense that earned nine shutouts in 2024.

Salcido, a forward/midfielder from Baldwin Park High School, played in 10 games last season, scoring one goal on two shots-on-goal. She will rejoin her Citrus teammate Stevie Spencer on the Life Pacific Women's Soccer team, continuing their chemistry at the next level.
