Citrus College battled from a two-goal hole but couldn't overcome a 3-2 loss to Antelope Valley College.
The Owls slip to 2-9-3 overall and 0-4-0 in Western State Conference-South action. The Marauders improve to 5-3-5 on the year, 2-0-1 in conference.
AVC struck first but Christian-Manuel Sossa had a response for the Owls in the 20th minute off a Jose Valdez assist.
The Marauders took a 3-1 lead but Andrew Garibian found the back of the net off a Jose Jimenez pass in the 85th minute to give the Owls hope.
Time expired before Citrus could complete the comeback, however.
Citrus gets a week to recover, hosting Glendale College next Friday at 2 p.m.
