Annual Youth Summer Sports Camp Set
Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football program's Annual Youth Summer Sports Camp is set for the Summer of 2014. The camp, which welcomes boys and girls ages 6-12, runs for seven weeks beginning June 16th.
"I have received so many phone calls from Moms or dads telling me that their kids are so pumped for this summer and coming back to Citrus Youth Summer Camp," said Camp Director Eddie Pacheco. "Entering our 5th year we look forward to making this the best Camp ever! Once again we have a great opportunity to give back to the community and allow our athletes here to volunteer as Camp counselors."
The camp has been well received in the community in the past couple of years. Campers get the opportunity to participate in a number of different sports and activities, including swimming, soccer, tennis, softball, and much much more. All of it takes place on the campus of Citrus College and in the state-of-the-art athletics facilities.
"We pride ourselves on providing a safe and fun environment for kids to enjoy the summer and not be stuck at home bored," Pacheco said. "The support from the campus community has been great, we appreciate all the volunteers who help us each summer. The focus of our camp is ALWAYS on fun. Too often, the pressure to win is so great that the kids lose interest. We promise that doesn't happen here."
Camp counselors will be made up of current Citrus College student-athletes both male and female. All proceeds from the camp will go to benefit the Citrus College Football program and their equipment needs.
The weekly camp rate is set at $140 a week, or sign up your child for the full seven weeks for a discounted rate of $700. For more information regarding the Youth Summer Sports Camp, see the below brochure or contact Camp Director Eddie Pacheco at 626-914-8651.
