Vince O'Boyle
Vince O'Boyle coached the Citrus College cross country and track teams from 1970 to 1981, leading Citrus track and field to three conference championships and earning California Community College Cross Country Coach of the Year honors in 1980. In his final year at Citrus, he led the Owls to the program's first and only cross country state championship in 1981. O'Boyle went on to coach at the University of California, Irvine, retiring after 32 years as head coach of the UCI men's and women's cross country programs while also spending 30 years as director of the UCI men's and women's track and field programs. O'Boyle was named Big West Conference Coach of the Year 20 times during his tenure at UC Irvine, where he led his programs to a combined 15 Big West Conference titles.
